Dovetail log cabins are a type of log construction that uses dovetail joints to connect the logs at the corners. They are interlocking joints shaped like a dove's tail, which securely connect the logs at the corners, providing structural stability and resistance to shifting or settling over time.
The precision and craftsmanship required in dovetailed logs gives the cabin a traditional, handcrafted and rustic look. With Weather-Aged finish of specialized sandblasting can makes the cabin look hundreds of years old.

This dovetail log cabin, built in Ukiha, Fukuoka prefecture, features 150 x 300mm Japanese cedar logs. It has a total floor area of 155.90㎡ and includes a living and dining area, a kitchen with pantry, two bedrooms, a study room, and one bathroom.
This stunning dovetail log cabin was constructed in the Ootaka forest of Tokorozawa, Saitama prefecture. With a total floor area of 149.90㎡, it comprises a living and dining area, a kitchen, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
This is the inaugural Timber Frame showroom in Japan, located in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. It features 254 x 254mm oak timbers and boasts a ceiling height of approximately 9.3 meters.
This oak timber frame home, built in Takasu, Hokkaido, showcases 203 x 203mm oak timbers and covers a total floor area of 214.91㎡. It includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, storage room, guest room, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
This veterinary clinic, constructed using a dovetail log cabin design, spans a total area of 166.68㎡ and is built with 152 x 355mm western hemlock logs.
